Caremark’s north eastern franchise, (Redcar & Cleveland) have been informed they are in the running for the bfa HSBC Franchisee of the Year Awards, supported by Express Newspapers.

This is the second year running that national home care provider Caremark has had a finalist in the top awards for franchising in the UK.

Last year, Janis Anderson, Managing Director of Caremark (Aylesbury & Wycombe) took the crown and won Franchisee of the Year 2013 and Female Franchisee of the Year 2013.

Caremark will be again looking to scoop the main award with their strong entry from their Redcar and Cleveland franchisee.

Charles Folkes, Managing Director of Caremark (Redcar & Cleveland) was thrilled to hear that he had been shortlisted for his category of “Olderpreneur”.

Folkes is no stranger to winning awards having won awards from Caremark Ltd over the last two years in recognition of amazing achievements and consistent and strategic approach to business.

The bfa’s director general, Brian Smart, said: “The selection process becomes more difficult each time we hold these awards and making this shortlist is a great achievement in itself, particularly this year following an unprecedented number of entries.

“This is a celebration of 19 local business owners from across the UK who have demonstrated outstanding entrepreneurialism, passion and dedication. With the support that ethical franchising brings, they’ve forged extremely impressive businesses. Choosing our winners shall be very difficult indeed.”

Caremark (Redcar & Cleveland) will now go forward for the next round of judging to be held next month with the hope of winning their category and going forward for the top title of Franchisee of the Year 2014.

“I am really delighted to have been shortlisted as a finalist in the category of ‘Olderpreneur’ for these prestigious franchise awards.  My achievements are the culmination of over 20 years of hard work and dedication to business and are testament to the benefit of the relationship between a strong franchise model and people who are prepared to maximise the potential of that model”, commented Charles Folkes.

The company provides bespoke care and support services for people of all ages, abilities and ethnicities who wish to remain living safely and independently at home but who require some support to do so.  For individuals who require more intensive care, Habito, Caremark’s 24 hour live-in service offers a complete package, tailored to suit individual needs.
