Driver Hire Hereford and Worcester, the latest addition to Driver Hire’s nationwide network of specialist recruitment offices is now owned by local couple Vance and Sue Parsons. 

Vance is no stranger to franchising. Before deciding to buy Driver Hire Hereford & Worcester, he ran his own debt management franchise and most recently worked in franchise sales for Mr Electric – another franchise business. “Telling other people about the many benefits of franchising made me think that maybe it was time I got a slice of the action again,” says Vance. “I’d sold my debt management franchise for a profit and was looking for another opportunity to invest. Driver Hire Hereford & Worcester came along at just the right time.”

Vance works alongside his wife Sue in their new venture which is based at King Street in Worcester. Sue has worked for a number of locally based businesses and organisations including British Red Cross and Malvern Tubular Components. Most recently she worked with Vance in their debt management business.

Sue and Vance’s new business will cover all postcodes in the Worcester area including Hereford, Leominster, Ledbury, Ross-on-Wye, Malvern and Evesham. Vance will be spearheading business development whilst Sue is using her experience to look after the operational side of the business.

“Driver Hire has an excellent reputation, both within the franchise industry and transport and logistics,” says Sue. “Along with its longevity – its celebrating its 30^th anniversary this year – those were the key reasons for buying into the business. We’re looking forward to delivering a first class, round the clock, recruitment service to businesses in and around Worcester – and finding plenty of work for our drivers.”
