Manjit Singh, owner of Driver Hire’s Enfield office, has added his name to an ever growing list of Driver Hire franchisees to win a local business award.

He’s just been crowned ‘Best Franchisee’ at the inaugural London Asian Business Awards. The awards recognise the entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen embodied by the London Asian business community. The winners in each category were selected by members of the public.

Driver Hire Enfield is part of Driver Hire’s nationwide network of franchised offices. It provides temporary and permanent drivers and other logistics staff to local and national organisations in both the public and private sector. If they’re short of staff – perhaps because of illness, holidays or seasonal demand – Manjit and his Driver Hire Enfield team will supply them with a suitable replacement.

Manjit originally bought the business in 2007; under his management it’s gone from strength to strength. Over the past five years, Driver Hire Enfield has never been out of Driver Hire’s three top performing franchises. In the financial year 2014/15, Manjit and this team were Driver Hire’s number one office, generating turnover in excess of £3m.
