When it comes to sales calls, the recruitment team at Driver Hire’s Croydon franchise are leaders. And we’re not just talking locally; this is on a national scale.

They recently collected Driver Hire’s National Sales Day winners’ award for booking the most appointments in a single day. “It’s all part of an annual competition across the whole of the Driver Hire network,” says franchisee, Tony Goacher, who has just celebrated his first birthday as the owner of Driver Hire Croydon. “There have been two National Sales days so far this year. We were the regional winners in the first round and both regional and national winners in the second round.”

On a National Sales day the whole of Driver Hire’s 100 plus office network competes to see how many appointments they can win in a single day. Live TV broadcasts keep competitors up to date with the scores. Extra points are earned if, later, an appointment is turned into actual business.

Overall the Driver Hire Croydon team is enjoying an outstanding year; sales are currently 44% up year-to-date, making them one of Driver Hire’s top 30 best performing offices. If business continues at its current level, Tony and his team are in line to hit £1m turnover – an all-time record for the office. To accommodate the growing business and an additional member of staff, they’ve also moved to larger premises.
